چکیده
Sulfolane is an emerging industrial pollutant detected in the environments near many oil and gas plants North America. So far, numerous advanced oxidation processes have been investigated to treat sulfolane aqueous media. However, there only a few papers that discuss degradation of using photocatalysis. In this study, photocatalytic titanium dioxide (TiO2) reduced graphene oxide TiO2 composite (RGO-TiO2) light-emitting diode (LED) photoreactor was investigated. The impact different waters (ultrapure water, tap groundwater) type irradiation (UVA-LED mercury lamp) on were also studied. addition, reusability test conducted for photocatalyst examine three consecutive cycles with new batches sulfolane-contaminated water. results show LED-based photocatalysis effective degrading even after cycles. UVA-LEDs displayed more efficient use photon energy when compared lamps as they narrow emission spectrum coinciding absorption TiO2. combination UVA-LED yielded better performance than RGO-TiO2 sulfolane. Much lower rates observed water groundwater ultrapure

Optimization of Photocatalytic Degradation of Phenol Using Simple Photocatalytic Reactor
The phenol photocatalytic degradation was investigated using heterogeneous catalyst Ag-doped ZnO nanowires under UV irradiation. Ag-ZnO nanowires were immobilized on borosilicate glass via a simple hydrothermal technique. Preliminary photodegradation studies were performed with Ag-ZnO nanowires at various concentrations of phenol (10 60 mg/L) at undiluted pH. After determination of the optimal ...

High efficient degradation of Cefixime using UV/TiO2 photocatalytic process: A comparison between photocatalytic and photolytic
Introduction: The existence of pharmaceuticals in aquatic ecosystem, their persistence and possible effects on living organisms and inefficient systems in removal of these compounds from water and wastewater are a growing concern. In this research, the UV/TiO2 photocatalytic degradation of Cefixime was investigated so as to identify if this method was efficient for removal of Cefixime or not. ...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Degradation of Acetaminophen
The photocatalytic degradation of a common analgesic (acetaminophen) with titanium dioxide irradiated with low energy ultraviolet light (365 nm) was studied in order to determine the effect of several parameters such as catalyst’s weight, photochemical effect, and initial concentration. The results indicate that acetaminophen is degraded in the order of 4% by the photochemical effect. The prese...
